Theme of the week: Camouflage

What I love about camouflage is that it can be worn not only in the stereotypical army print but in other different colours and shades, even pinks. The trend can suit anybody and can be as extravagant or simple as you want depending on whether you wear a camo co-ord in bold colours or just simply stick to accessories.

Theme of the week: velvet

For this week I have chosen the theme of velvet, I love the feeling of this material and I think its so pretty but not as much as my sister Courtney, she loves velvet and will love this post. Here are some pictures of beautiful velvet clothing and accessories;

A lot of people don't like the feel of velvet on their skin, they say it feels strange but I think its nice and soft. Do you like the feel of velvet?
Here I am going to tell you a bit about some of these clothes and maybe how you can wear it in different ways.
  1. The first dress is more on the dressy side because off the pretty cut out straps. The colour of this velvet dress is burgundy. I think this would look really nice worn simply with some black heels and spotty tights, don't forget the pretty jewellery.
  2. The second one again is a dress but this plain red velvet skater dress is more of a day dress which you can wear dressy or casual , to dress it up add some heels or some nice delicate flats and definitely some jewellery. For a casual look add a thick, knit cardigan, tights and boots.
  3.  The third picture is of a maroon velvet skater skirt with a black and white baggy top tucked into the skirt which creates a really pretty outfit. I also love the accessories in this look, maybe because I have got a little black satchel and a black bowler hat. This picture is from the blog Elle and Jess.
  4.  These blue velvet leggings look amazing. As you know I don't really like velvet as much as my sister does so when she told me the other week she wanted some velvet leggings I thought they sounded weird but after seeing some velvet leggings who couldn't love them, I know I do!!

Is that a mans jumper?

'Well yes, it is'. Haha.
So many people have asked me that question and when I say 'Yes' you can tell by their faces that they don't understand why. The only explanation I have is that men's jumpers are better than women's and that's about it, the jumpers are always thicker, comfier and I like my jumpers to be a bit bigger so by getting a XS in the men's section the jumper is just perfect. So a little advice, if you really like something from the men's section don't hesitate to at least try it on, it doesn't matter where its from as long as you like it :)

Theme of the week: Red

December seems to have gone by really quickly don't you think? And now while it is so close to Christmas, well, exactly eleven days as those of you who are counting down would know, I thought it was about time to start getting more in the mood for Christmas with these blog posts so that is why the theme of this week is red.
Deep Red (Red) Limited Deep Red Patent Leather Chelsea Boots | 301922662 | New Look

1. These boots aren't a bold red like the other items shown, they are more of a deep red but they are the perfect colour for winter to add a gothic, grunge look to any outfit, I can imagine them being worn with skinny jeans,  a Christmas jumper and thick socks, something warm and simple for when your out in the cold. They could also be worn for a more special occasion with a nice floral dress in darker shades with either woolly tights or socks, depends how brave you are, haha. Can't you tell I just love these boots from New Look , you can find them online here.
2. What better way to get in to the Christmas spirit then to wear a cute Christmas jumper like this one, I have looked everywhere to find the perfect Christmas jumper, one which is cute and festive and yet not too cheesy. I bought a Christmas jumper the other day from the men's section in primark (there jumpers are so much better than the girls), it's maroon with a Christmas Aztec print on it , I really like it but I wish I had seen this one first and there is no point getting more than one novelty jumper.
3. I absolutely love the colour of this lipstick. It seems that no matter what the shade of red a lipstick is it always looks amazing, red is my favourite lipstick colour, it just brings life to any outfit. I just wish I could wear this colour but it seem too dark for me, it will make me look even more pale than usual, however, I will definitely give it a try because it will be so worth it.
4. Are you still searching for a dress for either a Christmas or New years eve party, one that will be comfortable yet look amazing  and make you stand out from everyone else. then this simple red maxi-dress will be perfect. I  have always felt that maxi-dresses are a really elegant dress and especially when they are in such a gorgeous colour like this red one.

Jumper dress

Hi, its Caitlin here and this post is about jumper dresses which are really in fashion at the moment, not to mention the comfiest dress ever.
Here is how I like to wear my thick cream jumper dress which I bought from Primark for about £15, I have seen quite a few jumper dresses in places like H&M but they tend to be quite thin and more baggy, that may be what you prefer but I liked this one better as I liked that it was thicker and comfier. I like to keep it simple with this dress, I wore it with leggings as appose to tights to keep me warmer in winter. I am also wearing my bag which I bought from Primark awhile ago and these creepers were £15 from Varani, I almost forgot the thick cream socks I am wearing so my feet don't freeze and fall of, haha, that was a bit over the top but that's sometimes what my feet feel like in winter :)

Sorry for the bad quality of the picture and that this is a really quick post but we have been quite busy lately, we will post again soon.

Theme of the week: Scarves

Image 1 of TWO-SIDED SOFT SCARF from Zara

null (Multi Col) Blue Map Print Longline Scarf | 294712999 | New Look

1. This scarf is from Missguided. I love the pattern on this scarf as well as how perfect it is for winter and with the pastel blue colour it will look perfect right through to spring.
2. How cool is this scarf. I absolutely love tartan prints, especially on scarfs as I feel they make an outfit look quite smart yet casual, however, it doesnt get much better than this double tartan print scarf from Zara, I just love it so much (dramatic cry here, haha).
3. okay, this scarf is quite unusual but the design is really cool and as it is blue it means it will still match a lot of outfits. This scarf is from New Look.
